Translators

Using automatic translation tools with Easol sites.

Modern browsers include built-in translation capabilities, allowing customers to translate websites directly from their browser.

For creators who want to provide a dedicated language switcher, we recommend using GTranslate.

Browser translation

Most modern desktop and mobile browsers can automatically translate page content based on the customer's language preferences.

This is the simplest way to make an Easol site accessible to international audiences and requires no additional theme development.

Using GTranslate

Creators can integrate GTranslate to provide visitors with a language selector and automatic page translation.

For setup instructions, see the Easol Support guide Set up a multi-language website with GTranslate

Limitations

Automatic translation tools work by translating content after the page has loaded.

Because of this, some dynamically rendered content may not be translated consistently. This is particularly noticeable in the legacy Shop page, where some booking content may remain untranslated.

Developer considerations

When building themes:

  • Prefer creator-editable content over hard-coded text.
  • Avoid embedding text inside images.
  • Test themes using browser translation tools to ensure important customer-facing content translates correctly.
  • Be aware that third-party translation services may not translate all dynamically rendered content.
