Easol palette
Palette is Easol's visual site builder for creating and managing creator websites.
Palette is Easol's visual site builder, where creators manage the content, design, and configuration of their website.
Palette is available from My Site and includes the following areas:
- Pages — Create and edit site pages using blocks.
- Header — Configure the site's navigation and header.
- Footer — Configure the site's footer.
- Style — Manage colours, fonts, and custom CSS.
- Redirects — Create URL redirects.
- Advanced — Configure advanced site settings.
Creators with Developer access also have access to:
- Theme — Manage the site's installed theme and theme assets.
Editing a theme
Once a theme has been installed on a site, most day-to-day theme changes are made through Palette rather than by editing the source theme repository.
This includes updating:
- Theme assets (CSS, JavaScript, images).
- Templates and partials.
- Blocks.
- Theme configuration.
Changes made in Palette apply only to that site's copy of the theme and do not update the original theme repository.
Keyboard shortcuts
Palette includes several keyboard shortcuts to speed up editing.
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
| Ctrl/⌘ + E | Toggle full-screen mode |
| Ctrl/⌘ + S | Save changes |
Developer considerations
- Treat each site's installed theme as independent from the source repository.
- Use Palette for site-specific theme changes and content updates.
- Test changes before publishing to ensure they behave as expected across the site.
