Get your API key

Create an API key and make your first request.

To call the Easol API you'll need an API key.

  1. Open your Easol admin
  2. Go to Settings → Developer Tools
  3. Click Create new key
  4. Give the key a name, choose any reports it should be able to fetch, and save
  5. Copy your key

The report selection only governs the reporting endpoints. If your integration fetches report data, tick the reports it needs — a key reads no report you did not select for it. If it does not, leave them all unticked: every other endpoint works the same either way.

Make your first request:

curl https://api.myeasol.com/reports \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

A 200 with a list envelope means the key works. The list is empty if you selected no reports, which is a successful response, not an error.

For how authentication works — token format, key scope, and error behaviour — see Authentication in the reference. For which reports a key can fetch, see Fetching report data.
